Mother’s Day
What a great mother’s day! Danger always does a good job pampering me ![]()
Of course he bought me something even though I don’t want him wasting his money on a Hallmark holiday. But I loved my gift. I’m a picture freak so he bought me a digital photo frame.
Now, I always say that I want to just sit around the house and do nothing but I could never really just sit around and do nothing…that would drive me nuts.
Usually, on Mother’s day we buy flowers for the yard but this year for some reason I wasn’t in the mood so instead we went to the Gennesse Village Country Museum. I haven’t been in years. I remembered bits and pieces from my school trips as a kid. I thought Leah would enjoy it, to see how people lived in the old days. It turned out to be a lot of fun.
We rounded out the day keeping with the country theme and went to Cracker Barrel for dinner. That is the one place I always said I would never go on a holiday is a restaurant…and here I was at one of the most crowded restaurants in the area. My germophobia was on high alert.
After dinner we took a nice family walk and believe it or not crashed at around 7pm. Yup 7pm. It was great. I actually felt semi-refreshed when my alarmed rang at 3am this morning.
I hope you had a great Mother’s day too ![]()

That’s so awesome. I actually remember watching a video of your daughter when she showed you the hidden Mother’s Day present from last year! lol. She is so adorable and I wish you luck while TTC!

I must say that my family always thinks they need to meet at the Cracker Barrel for Holidays just because Henrietta is centrally located for us all, but I’ve never liked it so we changed venues! but the times we did go it was always packed no matter what Holiday.
