The greatest thing ever

skype.gifMy  Italian cousin who now lives in London has been nagging me to get on Skype.com.  Have you heard of it?  I had no idea what she was talking about so I brushed her off.  But now that I have my new Mac I decided to check it out and I have to say it’s the coolest.

It takes a second to download and there you go, you can talk to whoever you want via your computer for free (it’s even better if you have a camera hookup) So if you have friends or family who live out of town you should look into it.

What’s really important in life is…

What a crappy day, just one of those days, even though it’s 75degrees outside I just want to crawl under the covers and escape reality.  For the entire 20 minutes in my car driving home from work I played out and over analyzed the events of the day that are bringing me down.  I don’t cry much but I did break down a bit, the poor guy in the car next to me at the red light on Latta Rd, just starring at me, he didn’t know what to do.

For as down as I was, the second I get to my mom’s house and my 3yr old daughter Leah comes rushing to the door to greet me with a big hug, all of it goes away. Nothing really matters anymore. It’s amazing how having a child changes your perspective on life isn’t it?

Enough typing…I’m going to join her now in creating a chalk drawing masterpiece on the sidewalk :)  This is what it’s really all about.

More proof guys are ALWAYS thinking about…

laurieberkner.jpgSo yesterday I’m editing some audio at one of the computers here at the radio station when one of my co-workers asks me “Do you like the Laurie Berkner band”? If you don’t have little kids, Laurie Berkner sings obnoxious kid songs.

I feel bad saying it, but for some reason she drives me absolutely nuts.  It’s something about her…her hair, her clothes, her extra bubbly smile I’m not exactly sure?

My co-worker then informed me that dads dig her b/c she jumps around a lot… ;) I never even notcied that she needed a sports bra

This sweet, fun, slightly annoying women who educates and entertains our kids is being turned into daddy eye candy? Unbelievable.  I wonder if Danger thinks that too?

So now I’m thinking what goes through a dad’s mind when he watches the Doodlebops, Sesame Street, or the girl who hosts the Goodnight Show on Sprout?

Please move over…

construction.jpgI can’t believe how many rude people there are.  Ok, the 490 construction is a pain I agree, but it’s summer and we live in Rochester there’s always construction. Have some common courtesy, when you see that my lane is coming to an abrupt end, the bright orange cones merging my lane into yours don’t try to stay at the same speed as me so I can’t get over. I swear today I practically had to come to a complete stop in order to merge into the lane. Luckily there was nobody behind me. Then, the guy had the nerve to give ME a disgusted look.  Is he kidding??? Listen buddy, I have a daughter at home waiting for me I don’t care to play the real life version of Grand Theft Auto w/ you.  (which btw Danger keeps reminding me that the new Grand Theft Auto game comes out on the 29th)

I’m sure you have experienced it too, just plain old mean drivers.  Do they think it’s funny or are they so oblivious they don’t even realize it?

If I found out Danger was gay…

Friday, April 11th, 2008

Wow this morning was crazy.  If you missed it…we talked to a girl who caught her BFF’s husband cheating.  Ok that’s bad enough, but cheating with a dude?!  We are going to call the “other guy” on Monday a little after 7am (mental note).

There are so many issues here, so many questions.  If I ever found out Danger was cheating on me I would be crushed, completely heart broken.  I’ve always said once a cheater always a cheater…kick him out! But now, it isn’t as black and white b/c we have a kid.  Ultimately, I would probably try to work it out. (Danger if you’re reading this…don’t even think about it)

But if I found out he was cheating with a guy…there is no “working it out”.  There would be nothing I could do to keep our family together.  What would I do?

I can’t believe how many people called up saying they have been through it.
